#14570 I would like to be able to wear a tank top in public without having strange dudes stare at me like I'm a piece of meat. There's a difference between brief admiration and creepy oogling. I just want to be able to eat and text my boyfriend in peace without overheating in a sweater.

#14569 Thus isn't a confession, but it is something I would really like to share as a dining court employee. If you're eating at a dining court and you have a hot beverage or some hot soup that you want to place on the dish return, please let it cool off first if at all possible. Dish return is a very fast-paced and messy job, and while most of the leftovers sent back are just mildly gross, the hot liquids can seriously hurt us, especially when we have to grab them off a higher tray and risk splashing them into our eyes. Thank you for your consideration!

#14568 My Poem for Purdue:
We boiler up with parties and cheers
We hammer down with all nighters in a special study place
Although many of us come from different places our strive for success unites us
We may be many things but the main thing is that we're all proud
Boilermakers!

#14567 My friends think I love drugs too much. But when you're short, ugly, and have a small dick it's kind of hard to find any girl that wants to fuck you, so you gotta settle for other forms of happiness.

#14566 Proclaiming "I'm not a rapist," when I don't graciously acknowledge your unwelcome "compliments" is not very convincing.

#14565 Lol, if someone here tries to run for President and their private confessions from college are pulled up for the whole country to see.

#14564 All you engineering undergrads, I am a Purdue alumnus, recently got my masters and just got hired. I have a genuine job related tip for you, don't waste your time going to these "Expos" and "IR" etc. 99% of the time, they ask you to apply online. Why is that? Because companies don't look at your profile and try to match you to a job position that may fit you. Instead, you need to go and do the research yourself and make a resume that fits exactly what the job description says. So when you find a position online, make sure you use all the keywords mentioned in the "Job Responsibilities/Ideal Qualifications". So if you go to IR, the chances of you landing a job are very low. Try to network more, get to know people personally, maybe shoot an email to an ex-senior you knew and ask him about open positions wherever he works now. I was talking to one of my friends who works at GE, he told me that due to the volume of the applications, sometimes your application doesn't even reach the HR, the job portal tries to match your resume words with their keywords, if there is no good match, it automatically sends you a rejection (which explains why you randomly get a rejection email at midnight or during a weekend). Lastly, try to have someone you have networked with before applying at a certain company because if you can put "Employee referral" in the "How did you hear about us?" section, your application goes straight to the HR. I'm no expert, but over all these years, I learned these tricks and thought it might help some of you. Good luck
TLDR: DON'T GO TO JOB FAIRS

#14563 Has anyone taken ASL 101? If so, is it hard?
