We could remove the damage but still be wiser for the experience.

#14612 Purdue needs to put more measures in place to catch cheating students. The bad ones get caught freshman year but the real killers get a degree. If 20 years from now an incompetently designed bridge collapses and kills someone just know it could have been prevented. In the mean time stop bragging about knowing someone who cheats on exams and stop them.

#14631 I was working at Purdue Village one summer. There was this old guy with a thousand yard stare. Very serious guy. During breaks, he would sit in a dark room by himself.

Everyone thought it was one of those scary badass sort of things, where he was probably reliving memories of war (we had no idea if he was a veteran or not, nobody asked) or something like that.

One day I decide to "casually" walk by the room during break... the dude was napping.

He wasn't scary. He was just old. :P

#14662 I have a co-worker who is mentally handicapped. I don't know how to tell him that staring at and/or touching female students (by that, I mean he is VERY insistent on hugs, pats on the back of ladies he starts conversations with, putting his arm around them, etc.) is creeping them out.

Also, there's another handicapped guy that walks around campus, and hangs out in study areas of some buildings, just staring at and trying to talk with the female students. I have classes in a number of buildings, and I'm pretty sure I've seen him in all of them.

I think I should do something about this second guy too, like talk to him about what he's doing being creepy, but what?

#14676 I was getting some food at a dining court when I noticed a certain food item was running out. There was only one left as I reached for it, then noticed it was the last one. I paused and reached for something else instead. Then one of the student workers refilled the item, so I reached for it again to get some.

There was a girl behind me, I hadn't noticed. She said, "Ooh, you so nice." We both just kinda smiled. When I sat down to eat, I started to think... is no one normally nice to her? I thought it was just the right thing to do and not hog an item to myself. But... has the she not had anyone do something nice for her? :(

If something as small as what I did merited her commenting me being nice, I worry... maybe not enough people are nice to her?
