#14637 I cheated on my boyfriend. I didn't actually have sex with the other guy but it went far enough. I don't know why I did it, the other guy was an ex and we were just talking and he came onto me and it was just so natural but I love my boyfriend. I want to just forget anything happened but I feel terrible. I know my boyfriend deserves better but I don't want to leave him and i don't want to hurt him by telling him. That is my confession.

#14636 I wish Purdue made it compulsory for professors to use resources like Blackboard, course-signals and grade assignments with actual feedback / corrections. Most professors seem to read a textbook and some papers to prepare lecture slides, blabber through the lecture without any interaction with the students and write an exam or two. They could do so much better.
Students can learn most of what the professors yap on about by reading the textbook themselves. Some professors don't even bother mentioning where the stuff we're learning can be applied or even seen in real life. To me, that's not an effective way of teaching or learning. They can make the exams as hard as they want but at least TRY and make the lecture interesting, talk to us like we are human beings, help us apply what we're learning and give us feedback on how we're doing in class. Their TAs usually do a way better job than them when they have to substitute because they do all these things. We don't pay tuition to learn how to do well on exams, so stop trying to teach us your subject like we're attending class just to be tested on it!
Special mention to Andrew Toms, Dennis Minchella, Jean Chmielewski and Peter Cook who know how it's done despite having to teach a class of 100+ students! If you've had an awesome professor, put their name in the comments.
P.S. Dear Prof. I understand you're also a scientist with limited time to work on your teaching, but this is academia and hence, the other end of the deal which says you get a lab to work in everyday. Before you grumble your way in and out of your next lecture, think about the number of people that hate your beloved discipline because of you everyday.

#14630 Arrrgh! If only my professor can put up my exam score before March 23rd so that I can decide if I need to drop this course. I can't afford to get lesser than a B. It's been almost a week since I took the test.

#14677 When I saw millions of feminists joining the campaign to ban free speech in a free country, erm, ban the word "bossy" and actually attain success with that, I realized where modern feminism was heading. Beyonce, which many people look up to, was one of the leading feminists in this. Like she never said "Bow down bitches." But bossy is even more of a disgusting label than bitch anyway.
Now, I am a guy and I know there are girls who would call me "creepy" if I randomly said "hi" to them. Even if the word "creepy" was banned, these girls wouldn't change their minds and think of me as less of a creep. But do I give a shit? Nope, like a grown up adult, I don't give a flying fuck. I will still continue to approach girls rather than expect a movement to change how girls perceive randomly approaching guys.
And frankly, if you are weak enough to put yourself down based on people holding stereotypes and calling you bossy (there are millions of stereotypes btw), you don't even deserve to be a leader in the first place.
Go ahead, ban all the words you don't like. But feminism cannot change people's thoughts and opinions that seem negative to you. And stereotypes aren't even any close to being as big of an issue, like you are making it, as poverty, suicide, starvation, homelessness, economy, obesity and heart diseases, that we should be focusing our time and effort on.

#14635 Some people got it, some people don't. Those of us that don't have to deal with it. This goes for things like getting girls (or guys), money, friends, and power.

#14634 I don't date much, let alone talk to boys. It takes a lot for me to find someone who shares similar interests with or get along with. I was talking to a boy and things didn't work out. Generally they never do. I don't know if it's me or what ever. All I can say is that I have truly given up. I try to protect myself to no avail. I put myself out there to only get hurt. This is the last time. I think some people are just meant to be alone. I guess I'll just have to learn to embrace it.

#14633 Does anybody else feel unsafe signing petitions and speaking out? I admit, I even feel unsafe typing this. I don't want to be alarmist or paranoid but I just can't help feel that in historical context the ones who speak out are generally the ones who get locked up. Where is the line between waiting until you have enough people to form a voice which demands recognition and waiting so long that any voice is now irrelevant and it's too late?
