#14723 I have been dropped from Purdue and want to get back in the summer semester. I am so scared of being rejected. I honestly can't sleep at night. Anyone went through a similar situation and give me some advice?

#14718 This is a confession both to myself and other Purdue students that use this page:
I don't know what was wrong with me before, I didn't study, I didn't study at all. After being dropped and being readmitted to another college, I still didn't put effort in studying, only because the new college I was readmitted to was not as rigorous as the college I was in before that I didn't get dropped again.
However, after talking with an advisor from college of science today, my mind changed completely. When he pointed out that the program I was interested to was going to be "very hard" for me and kept insisting me on giving up the idea of switching to this program, I felt like a garbage that was not welcomed by the world I wanted to be a part of. This hurt my ego to be honest, but I think I deserve it.
Now, I don't care what people would think of me, I just want to start working very hard, getting into the program I want, and wash off those shaming spots of myself and graduate with good grades.
I need to start working, and working very hard.

#14717 I'm not in a sorority, but in the beginning of the semester, I kind of went to meet the greeks in the union. I'm not very confident sometimes, and I was so nervous, but at the doorway, a short blonde girl said hi with a smile on the face. It made me feel much more welcome. Even though I didn't get a bid and I'm not sure if she was just being polite, she just made me feel better and maybe not assume certain things about greeks.
