#14912 To be honest I am scared for the semester to end. As a freshman turning Sophomore I feel like I have changed for the better in so many aspects. While I love my family they can be a bit much at times. I don't want to go back. Purdue is my home. I have friends who support me and a very caring boyfriend. While a lot of people want to go back home I don't and I dont' know how to feel about it. I just hope this gets better in the future....

#14909 I don't like it when I see some girls on dating sites say "White guys only". You're obviously free to date who you want and are more attracted to, but it saddens me that I'm automatically out of that category because I don't belong to a certain race and that even if I was intelligent, fit and a good human being, you wouldn't consider me worth dating. It makes me feel inferior and think lesser of myself.
I have to constantly tell myself that I can do nothing to change your world view and that the world has more open-minded people in it as well. It's easy to say that I shouldn't be obsessed with how some women perceive me and that there's more to life than that, but it's hard not to. Sometimes you take a place above all my passions, friends, family and I want to be really successful just to impress you. Sigh.

#14908 I just got out of a year and three month relationship and I honestly don't know what to do with myself. I loved her so much and still love her more than anything, but she lost her love for me. I don't know what I did wrong for her to unlove me. She said that having sex changed the way she feels about me, but I am willing to look past it and put the physical away until marriage. I don't care about sex, I just want her to love me again. I feel like she was the one I want to spend my life with and I really don't want anyone else. I was there for her through her drug addiction/ sex addiction, her parents divorce, and much more and I loved being there for her. The more I explain my love to her the more she is annoyed by me and it hurts. She has cheated on me, but just for the sex and I am always willing to work through it and love her through it. We met here and were planning to move to the same city after college to be able to be with each other, but now she doesn't want to even talk to me. Do I just wait and hope she can love me again? At the beginning of our relationship she told me I was helping her with her addictions and told me that the way I loved her allowed her to not want to hook up and not want to use. She has been clean for several months, but why does she hate me.

#14907 The stress from finals week is either going to push me over the edge and I'll go super saiyan, or I'll be taking the biggest shit ever in some on-campus toilet.

#14906 Have you ever questioned why girls never slept with you or dated you?

It is because you treat girls like how women are treated in rap videos, your ideal relationship is to have a hot girl beside you, and it could be any hot girl. When I try to have a friendly conversation with you and get to know you as a person, you automatically assume that a hot girl can’t also be smart or funny, and start hitting on me instead, trying to make me sleep with you. If you don’t want to know us as a person, please back the fuck off. What makes you think we would fuck or date you if you don’t even like us as people? Girls always have the need to feel respected, and they would not even hookup with you if you don’t appreciate you. Imagine some girl comes up to you, compliments you on being rich, wants to know nothing about you, and tries to marry you? Would you marry that person? I thought so.

Next time when you approach a girl, act like she is a person, a person like you with hopes and dreams, and not a piece of meat, and you’ll score better every time.

#14905 I normally don't vent via this page, but I'm really tired.

Over the past few months, a few friends of mine have become bullies.

I'm exhausted, honestly. Exhausted of how cruelly they judge me and my committed, faithful, loving, enduring relationship with my wonderful girlfriend--and they're the only few who have problems with us. These people claim that they're doing all of this out of their faith and good Christian virtue. Yet, I don't see Christ in them. All I see are puritanical, judgmental zealots who wouldn't know Christ if He approached them and showed them the wounds in His hands. I feel like the lover being attacked by the watchmen in Song of Songs. I feel persecuted. I'm exhausted of being called a heretic and a demon, of being accused of being abusive and controlling when they don't know anything at all about our relationship. I'm exhausted of them refusing to listen to me and how I feel. Instead, they make up their minds about me, who I am, what I stand for, and how I live my life before they hear what I have to say. And when I feel bullied to the point that I feel I have no other choice but to scream at them--even after I apologize multiple times for my behavior--they play the victim and neglect to question why I'm in so much pain in the first place. I'm exhausted of my own Christianity being questioned just because I live and love differently from them. I'm exhausted of being abused.

Bottom line, while I'm letting them go, I'm having a crisis of faith. Not faith in my Lord, but faith in the people who claim to cleave to Him. Faith in fellow Christians. Faith in friends. Faith in people. Thankfully, numerous friends and family members have opened up wells of support for my girlfriend and me. But, for the time being, hatred seems to cut deeper than love fills.
