#14997 On many occasions I've been groped by women, some friends and some strangers. Once at a bar, I had a woman sit on my lap when I was drunk and feeling incredibly sick and tired. I was kissed by a female friend. A girl I had just met sat close to me, pushed her body against mine, and started gently rubbing my back with her hands.

Now, I'll be blunt: I don't regret these accounts. I'd say I really liked it and I personally feel there's nothing wrong with feeling that way. But can I, as a man, use these as grounds to claim sexual assault and label these women as sex offenders? Does it matter whether such sexual advances are wanted or unwanted? If it does, how does the perpetrator know it's wanted or not? Note that in all of the incidents, there was no affirmative consent.

Chivalry is not sexist. It stems from having more empathy & respect for women and the idea that they are precious, which they are. What's really sexist is people trying to degrade everything a man does when they run out of things to complain about; to somehow find a way to call us misogynists. Just stop.
