Mainly bc you need to make almost double what non grads make to live comfortable w student loan payments. And now a few years after graduation my job has made me lose faith in humanity and despise people for being so careless and ignorant all the time. I hate my job. And my Purdue degree does nothing but get me looks from "entry level" positions starting at "amazing competitive pay around 35k" GTFO. BTW unless you are doing something very specific and something that requires very special training and research, you don't use anything you crammed for exams with.
