#15552 I was up late one night trying to figure out what I was doing wrong with my computer program I was writing up. After several painful hours not being able to get it to work, I ended up going home a little bit after 3:30 am flustered.

As I was walking home, I heard strange sounds and when I looked to my right, this was this man in a white hoodie running up to me. At first I thought he was just a jogger, then as he got up closer, I realize that he had a knife on him.

Realizing that I am about to get mugged and still pissed at my computer program not fully functioning, I dropped my book bag and put it in my arm. As that guy asked for my stuff, I told to essentially to go fuck himself and he wasn’t getting nothing. He lunged forward with the knife and I swung my bag at him (loaded with cans of Monster Energy drinks). He kept demanding my stuff and told him to eat shit and I swung my bag at him again. At this point, it dawned on me he may not be the only assailant, with this being essentially a standoff, I decided to run away, ironically to my amazement, my mugger ran the other direction the same time I did.

Lesson learned here, do not attempt to mug a computer programmer who can’t get his program running. Yes, it may have been dumb of me to fend him off, but hey, I still have my stuff.
