#16325 Months ago, I was at hicks late at night, when I noticed that this couple near me was fighting. They were talking really quietly, so I wasn't sure what was going on. I knew she was crying, and apparently they were going to break up because their lack of time (I'm not sure though). I just know that her tears made me feel really bad. It took me a lot of courage, but I wrote them a note saying "Guys, don't break up. Having someone is better than being alone." If you haven't been at hicks yet, they have these little walls separating two tables, to give people more privacy. Well, I folded the paper in half, and put it up on the "wall". Moments later, the guy finally sat near her, and she stopped crying. They started laughing again, then changed tables, taking my note with them. Thinking about it now, although I was trying to help, I shouldn't have done what I did. I wasn't sure what they were fighting about, and even if I was, I didn't know them. It was rude of me to pay to attention to their conversation. I was impolite, yes, but to be honest, I'm happy with that. I like to believe that they still have my note, and that I helped them to keep their relationship going. I really hope they are still together.

I really can't understand this, you engineers got nothing else to do? This is really boring and sometimes harsh, liberal arts students put in effort, money, and time into their field of studying and get their degrees and live their lives. What about them upset you that you need to constantly degrade them?
