I am so sick and tired of reading these stupid facebook and twitter posts by people about rape culture such as "rape culture is when people don't believe the victim but believe the aggressor is innocent until there is undisputable evidence" I'm so tired of how people automatically assume that the guy is guilty just because the girl accuses him of rape. According to their logic, every thief and murderer would be sent to prison just because they were accused. No, its not "rape culture" its justice. You can't just throw someone in jail just because you accuse them of rape. And since you all want to use the overused "rape culture" line. How about this: rape culture is when countless number of girls accuse a man of rape without evidence just to get money or use it as an excuse to cover up a mistake she made when she was drunk. Have you ever heard about the football player Brian Banks? If not look it up. Brian Banks was a high school player and was wrongly accused of rape by a 15 year old girl. He was completely innocent even though they had no evidence against him. He tried to fight his case but finally accepted that he could not win and had to confess guilty just so he could get a shorter sentence. Brian Banks spent 5 years in prison for a crime he did not commit, he lost millions of dollars because he was supposed to go to the NFL and lost 5 years of his life because a stupid girl had the audacity to accuse an innocent man of a crime. He finally got out after 5 years and the girl was proven to be lying and was only penalized $2.6M for taking 5 years of a man's life not 1 second in jail. The judge should have matched her sentence with his and sent her to 5 years in prison but first should have sent her 1 week in a male prison so she would know what being raped really felt like. I am not saying that rape is ok but too many people think that a man is immediately guilty just because a girl accuses him of rape.
