It's all discrimination. We're all human and we are all individuals. Whenever I hear someone say white people have it so much better, I want to correct them as I am not any more successful than the next guy. I can't, because I'm white. I still have bills to pay and watch the same TV, walk the same streets, eat the same foods, enjoy the same sports and wear the same clothes as everyone else.

#19606 People very often stoop low enough to spotlight one's ethnicity in an attempt to discredit their argument.

Some of them continue telling white males their opinions are irrelevant because of their gender and race while concurrently talk about being silenced as minority and also show absolutely no problem validating the opinions of those they agree with but happen to be white males. They scrutinize, protest against, and try to shut down any form of organized social body that includes or pertains to the interests of mostly white males for segregation and lack of diversity, and at the same time, demand "safe spaces" that totally exclude white males. They get to tell white males to not invalidate the experiences of minorities which are undeniably "structural and national trends," and they persistently promote the idea that white males will never have to suffer any racial or gender based segregation and invalidate the experiences of those that do as "isolated incidents," or better yet, blame it on white males themselves for supposedly having created this system. They will try their best to knock out anything that advertises hate speech or opinions that might be offensive to minorities, but have nothing to say about the bulk of hatred and vitriol media and activists throw against white males from time to time. They proudly condemn anything that might be offering a preference to white males, but are strong supports of quotas and preferential treatment based on race/gender of all groups but white males.

That is what I think modern activism has become.

On a related note, before you tell someone you know nothing about, someone who is possibly homeless, never knew dad, lost mom at five, working two jobs to get though college to "check their privilege," how about you check yours?
