#19678 I hate seeing people argue about pit bulls. Not that people argue about it, just the arguments people give. Arguing that pit bulls are the same as any other dog and that they are being randomly targeted without reason annoys me to no end. A badly treated little wiener dog is not the same as a badly treated pit bull. Sure, a friendly pit bull is no more dangerous than any other dog but they do have the capacity to be very, very dangerous in a way that other dogs breeds aren't due to their size/incredible strength. Just like German Shepards/Bull dog/other dogs that have been targeted with this kind of thing in the past. People perceive these dogs as being dangerous because in worst case scenarios they can be worse than a normal dog. An angry pit bull can/have killed people, an angry wiener dog probably has not (don't link a random 1 time occurrence please). No, I'm not one of the people that thinks they should be banned, all of the ones I've met have been awesome, chill dogs. I just want people who argue in favor of keeping pit bulls around to use their heads a little and sound credible. They're cool dogs, don't lose the fight for them by sounding stupid.
