#19820 One of my friends got a new roommate recently because his roommate was peeing on his cactus and his roommate poured coffee on the cactus as well. It’s amazing what cactuses can go through without dying

#19819 I am not a Christian, but I want to know why Jesus was crucified in the most brutal way known to man. What did he do? Why didn't anyone show mercy?

#19816 I am a Christian. I love Jesus with all my heart. But it breaks my heart to see the way Campus Ministries USA has approached my fellow students in the name of Christianity. What they are doing is not ministry--it's false teaching. The message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is that apart from God we cannot be good. We may be able to conjure up a few decent actions here and there, but we will always return to self indulgence, pride, and lust--even though we may not always see it. The message of Jesus is that, through him, we have access to God and can know him in a real way. Through Jesus we can be redeemed to God and live to please him and display his grace, love, and forgiveness to the world around us. The message of the Gospel is a love story between man and God. As man continually chooses to reject and walk away from God, he chooses to fight for our love and devotion. While I agree with some of the theology that Campus Ministries USA may believe, I wholeheartedly disagree with their presentation. You can't scare someone towards Jesus with the fear of Hell. And even if you could, that's not what he wants. He wants us to CHOOSE him willingly--to love him back in the way that he has always loved us; not to serve him because we're afraid of what he may do to us if we don't. So to anyone who has been offended, hurt, or put off by the message that Campus Ministries USA is preaching, I'm sorry. Please don't mistake who Jesus is for who some of his so called "followers" are. Lastly, I'm definitely not saying that our sin is acceptable to him, or that he is pleased with it. But the truth is that he loves us in spite of our sin, and only in loving him back can we ever begin to be free from our bondage and slavery to sin and experience real, tangible freedom in him. That is the Jesus that I know and love.

#19815 I don't like it in Indiana. I wish I had gone to college on the West Coast or in the PNW. Now I have to wait to graduate to move out there.

#19813 I'm not okay. No matter how much I may look and act like I am fine. I have social and general anxiety. The me you see acting normal in class then proceeds to walk out when class is over and go somewhere where I can cry and try to manage my anxiety. I have missed so many classes due to this anxiety, but I don't know how to get help. My parents don't care about mental health and I can't afford the help. Plus it makes me anxious just to think about trying to talk to someone about this or going somewhere to get help. I know this is wrecking my life, but I am stuck.
