#30602 Some of the comments on the feminism confession are just wild. There is literally no inequality between men and women in the western world. Why is Hilary not the president? It has nothing to do with the fact that she's a woman. She is perhaps the shittiest presidential candidate to have existed. Women aren't presidents or CEOs of companies? The fact that we don't list them one by one, just goes to show, that it doesn't intrinsically matter who is a woman or who isn't. Only in a backwards unequal country would it actually require mentioning, "oh look, there's a woman in a high position." There is no wage "gap" between men and women. The 77 cents to a dollar myth is absolute garbage. If a woman is hired into the same position as a man, she will make the same amount of money. This 77 cents statistic comes from taking an average of ALL women vs ALL men. If anything it shows that women on average take lower paying jobs. This is because some of the higher paying jobs are usually high risk. Men tend to take more risk. It's a biological fact. There are also some well paying jobs in STEM, and there are less women in general in STEM. This isn't because men say, "you aren't good for STEM." There is just less general interest. Plus women often take longer periods of time off from work to raise kids. I don't understand why some women think this is a bad thing. Biologically, mothers' are designed to spend more time with kids than men. I'm not saying there aren't exceptions, but in general women seem to be the ones who spend more time with kids, and creating a family. Making money isn't everything. I don't think that this is bad in any way. First wave feminism was good; now it's just a waste of energy.
