#30620 My roommate is an ardent fan of the education here and wants to experience the DREAM. We had a "mentally stimulating" discussion regarding the same. He's been studying here for 6 years(365 * 24 hours - *metaphorically*) and plans to settle down eventually. It seems like he had no life, back in his country(presuming, he loved books over b***s or he couldn't get the latter, and he's got only acquaintances, whom he thinks are friends) and is proud of studying here. He doesn't seem to have a life outside his books. Little do the people back in his country know that he leads the monotonous life, which he had back there.

Thankfully I am better than ever before now and hopefully you will learn to see what beautiful things this tough time will teach you in life!

#30638 I think I overloaded myself this semester. I got a job on campus working about 15 hours a week, I'm the president of a club sport, and my course load is pretty big. As a result my grades are slipping pretty badly. I got D's on all my exams so far and I might have to drop/retake some classes, which is bad because I'm already behind, having changed my major last year. I changed my work schedule around, but I don't know how well that will fix the problem. I might be fucked.

#30636 Let me get this straight.... Nikolas Cruz, the shooter at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, was reported to the police and the FBI multiple times. Everyone was made aware well in advance of his motives. In his case, had an investigation been carried out, he would have lost his guns at the least. Nobody did anything. No investigation.

Then he carried out the attack.

Now there’s an overwhelming response to do something about guns. Guns he wouldn’t have had if law enforcement had followed protocol.

Existing laws and protocol were not followed. This allowed Cruz to carry out his attack. Now people want to restrict gun ownership to millions of innocent gun owners who have done nothing. Placing our lives in the hands of law enforcement who failed to do their job originally allowing Cruz to carry out the attack.
