#21020 How can I find someone to accept me for who I am? I know I'm pretty messed up, but the ways I'm messed up in are harmless. People's feelings about me are just wrong. What can I do about that?

#21019 How can I find someone who accepts me? Here's the thing: people need to stop penalizing others for trying. To clarity, if I talk to people and come off as awkward, I do not deserve for you to go and talk to others, point fingers, and damage my future opportunities and experiences here at Purdue. If you feel like this is appropriate, then your feelings are wrong. You know it's kind of like a catch 22. Am I dumb for not predicting other people's feelings or are they dumb for not being able to read my intentions?

#21018 Remember that old saying, "any publicity, is good publicity?" Thank you Facebook for getting Donald trump so much free publicity, that you might just get him elected...

#21017 I'm a junior in computer science but I don't really like coding. Actually I even hate using computers cuz they're just so emotionless. I was forced by my father to study computer science because he said he is not gonna pay for my tuition if I major in Theatre. Ever since freshman year I have been working hard and even worked as a TA for a tough CS course. I also just landed a decent job in a tech company. But I have never felt happy because CS is not where my interest lies at all. Here is my secret plan: I'll try my best to get in one of those top-paying tech companies and save as much money as I can. Then I'll use the money to apply to the best drama schools in the nation like Yale School of Drama or the Theatre School at Harvard. I will show my dad that I can also succeed with an acting degree! What do you guys think?

#21016 I try hard to have a polite conversation..but I often use a lot of sarcasm, be dominant and make feel other inferior (even to my graduate professor). I am kind and shy but when I start talking, I snap back at others. It might be ok with my friends, but I have hard-time with seniors (parents, professors). Any suggestions?

#21015 Are those 'makeup table' at makeup stores (Sephora, etc) for free? I was wondering if they would't mind teaching a beginner on makeup...
