#21599 My father tells everyone I'm taking some time off to decide what to do with my life, when he clearly knows that I'm studying to be a barber, which has always been my dream :(

#21598 The only reason I'm working in madrid whilst doing my masters part time is because i'm banging my insanely hot colleague, and I'm addicted to it. Money wise, it makes no sense.. but the sex is WORTH

#21596 " I feel like I'm in the wrong world, because I don't belong in a world where we don't end up together. There's parallel universes out there where this didn't happen. Where I was with you, and you were with me. And whatever universe that is...that's the one my heart lives in."

I don't know why it's so hard for me to let you go.
I'm not over you...I probably never will be.

P.S. I saw a bluebird the other day.

#21595 I believe our generation, the millennial generation (as defined by those born betwen 1981 and 2000), is worth far more commendation, or at least be respected more than it is, than what it is given. Before any of us had any real chance to make an impact on the world, we have fought 2 wars, the longest in our nations history, one of which was flat out illegal (this is simple fact). We have had the cost of college explode out of control putting it out of reach for many, have seen social security dwindle to the point where most of us do not expect to ever be able to receive any meaningful benefit from it.

We are the ones that have fought the wars, we are the ones that will inherit the country, the economy, the government and the future. We are constantly admonished by the media for the things we demand. They forget who it was that brought us up, who it is that instilled in us the values from which these demands are generated. Now yes things such as safe spaces are without a doubt rediculous because plain and simple real life does not have safe spaces and people need to learn how to deal with those that do not like them, but there are certain things that are needed. Universal healthcare is one of those. Allowing companies to decide the path to health people are allowed to take is beyond ridiculous. The basic operating principle of health insurance and payments tell us universal healthcare does work in that money is gathered in a pool (whether it be in taxes or insurance premiums) and then withdrawn for accrued costs obtained from care. We can not allow companies to decide if a person will get life saving treatment or not. Nor can we allow people to be forced into bankruptcy because they wish to live, they wish to live life in good health. We as a generation see and know there needs to be change.

We demand those companies which caused the recent economic downturn pay for they caused by paying for our higher learning by paying a less than 1% tax on each stock trade. An easy tax to bear when you consider how money is traded every day through not only the NYSE but the 15 other major stock exchanges within the US of which well over 70% of all trades are automated and made by the various computer algorithms.

We are told our demands to hold people accountable are absurd by all political parties. We are the ones that have made the sacrifices as demanded of us by the government. We are the ones that have been told how its going to be with next to no say and then are singled out when we dont accept that and are then made to look like fools on national TV.

We deserve to be taken seriously by the simply fact that we are now the largest voting group by age in the nation. We need to start conducting ourselves in a more respectable manner and make sure before we take any actions that we have our facts completely straight and beyond refute. There are many things that we rightfully deserve and yet are ignored. Please, take advantage of the democratic process we as americans have. Make your demands known through voting. Do your research on the biggest issues, especially those that are closest to your heart and make sure your sources are unbiased and are based on factual evidence. We deserve to be taken seriously despite what the media may say. VOTE!

#21592 So I saw someone post stuff about what Obama has done in office, I correct him saying how about 3/4th wasn't Obama, gives proof, gives documents, does everything imaginable, still isn't believed... This is why I stopped arguing.
