#21871 I used to be super involved in shooting short films and video when I was in high school. It was something that I really loved (and still love) doing.

I decided that instead of going to Film School I was going to go to Purdue and pursue a career in science instead, as it would make me more money. I thought that in my spare time I would be able to work on short films then.

Over winter break I was talking to my friends who did go to film school. They were talking about all the things they have been able to do and all the new contacts they made. They told me about the amazing projects that got to work on, and the internships they were going to over the summer.

I soon realized that I made a terrible mistake. Here I am studying something that stresses me more than anything, eats up all my time, and leaves me feeling drained at the end of the day. In my 3 years here I have not been able to work more in film/video because I'm spending my days in a lab or writing reports, and once I do have time I don't have the energy to work on anything.

I've considered changing majors/transferring into something that'll let me do film, however hardly any of my credits will transfer. I just feel like I've screwed myself into not being able to do what I really love.
