#21920 i heard "you could be happy" by snow patrol yesterday, and I lost it. I couldn't hold back the emotions. I've listened to the song a million times, but this time..the words were a lot more relevant. Listening to it made me a very sad, but now..I can't help but smile when I hear it..."Do the things that you always wanted, and take a glorious bite out of the whole world." :)

#21891 I'm a junior but am taking sophomore classes. I act like a freshman. However by credit, I am a senior. How's that?

#21917 I apologize admin but this is a long post but it needs to be said and I feel is beneficial for the Purdue population.
I have noticed that most people in college pick a degree after high school before they even know what they really want as a career. This is illustrated by how many unpractical degrees people are pursuing that I won't name. Most people work towards a 4-year degree because that's what everyone does and feel the pressure to also get a bachelor's degree just to get a bachelor's degree. I'm not trying to insult anyone but rather help people because just look at the statistics about how many college grads are jobless have no money and still don't know what they are doing in their life it's pretty scary if you think about it. After that, they have to go back to school and work towards another degree that is more practical wasting more money and time. I have asked some people who I thought were pursuing suspect degrees(no job market) and ask them what they are trying to do with that degree and they answer with I don't know. And these people are juniors and seniors not freshman. How are you paying $20K+ a year and not know what you're doing?
I feel that after high school, students should get 1 year off totally from school to better explore what they are passionate about and what they truly want to do with their lives. I mean the system is completely flawed. Colleges force you to apply while you are busy in high school you don't have time to really reflect on what you like to do. Sometimes it takes a whole year maybe even two to really understand who you truly are and what you want to pursue. That is why I think a 1 year break would be beneficial where you are completely stress free from school and can really think upon what you wanna do the rest of your career.
Admin- don't worry about it, I made Siri read it to me
