#23335 @#23321 I'm pro-assisted suicide too. Because I've been there. It's legal with those with terminal illness, yet society has judged that mental pain isn't comparable.

We're all going to die anyway. We might hurt some people - so what? We're selfish from wanting to die from our pain? Are you not selfish for guilting us into staying in pain, just because it might hurt you?

If they're going to do it anyway, would you rather see your loved one's body hanging, or knowing that, through assisted suicide, they passed peacefully in their sleep?

Permanent solution to a temporary problem. How are you so sure that person's problems are temporary?

As a society, it would probably benefit us to allow assisted suicide. Less money being spent on a person who can barely take care of himself, and more money spent on those who actually want to live. For those that had the strength to hold jobs, we'll have more jobs open. More scholarship money will be available to people who can actually do something with their lives. Better for the environment, with less people wasting resources. You can't reproduce when you're dead, so you prevent more parasites from coming into society. Some of these suicidal people might have violent tendencies, and in a fit of rage, murder or harm innocent people.

I speak from experience; that is, I'm mentally ill, and I'm pretty positive the world would be much better off without me. And having read my probably controversial post, you'll surely agree with me.

#23334 @ confession #23332, I was self-harming once and my cat kept pawing at the scizzors as if she was trying to get me to drop them. I did. Occasionally when I'm crying, she starts rolling around like crazy in what I interpret is her trying to be cute and make me feel better.

#23332 I'm not a huge fan of cats. I respect them and I know their owners love them to death, but they always give off a sort of disingenuous vibe to me. Just my opinion/experience though. Have any of you cat owners experienced moments of great loyalty with your cats? I'm very curious to hear such stories as I have heard one story of a cat protecting a young boy owner from an attack by the neighbor's dog.

#23331 I wish I was a straight man or rather a straight white man. They are super confident. They get chicks. They randomly hook up and have fun with their buddies and get favored over other people at their jobs (personal experience). They enjoy dirty jokes about chicks and stuff, basically they enjoy life without being conscious about many things. But I am gay, not white, and an addict. I have experienced sexual abuse as a kid, I suffer from depression, I have attempted suicide in the past and I have been rejected multiple times by guys I dated. I know there are other things that are valuable in life and life's success should not be measured in terms of how many people you fucked with. But I got many things to worry about other than that shit. Also, I am not American and I can be kicked out any time my student status ends and I don't have a job. I thought I would be happy here. But life is disappointing and today I just can not help but feel like there are so many others who are luckier than me. Life sucks and I don't know how much longer can I survive like this. Confession: I wish I was a straight (white) dude, living a satisfying life and I feel like I should kill myself.
