#23688 Confession: I feel like a goddamn cliché because I'm so fucking jaded. I was with the only person I've ever been in love with on-and-off for three years. Long story short, it was an incredibly unhealthy relationship with her repeatedly cheating on me with one guy in particular and wanting us to all three be together when I'm not polyamarous and I hate the guy because he was physically and emotionally abusive to her; and meanwhile I was a complete shit because I couldn't get over her cheating and would fight with her about it constantly which did nothing but emotionally damage her. I finally broke it off for good with her last summer, and needless to say I am completely over wanting to be with her after all the shit we went through, but I can't seem to get over her, to get her out of my head. It has fucked me up to the point where I haven't been able to be with another girl after her and even jumped into a heterosexual relationship with a guy I've come to love... but she's still able to creep up into my thoughts when I think about sex or love. We have no contact whatsoever and I have no desire to speak to her. All I want is for that chapter of my life to disappear so I can begin to feel less guarded, less cynical, less skeptical about every relationship in my life.
