My friends are out in the world having babies and getting married and shit, and I'm over here absolutely unable to keep a goldfish alive for longer than a day.

Almost committed suicide last night, and the only thing stopping me was the fear of failing to do so. Brought me to thinking today more on life and friendships, and how society tells us if we're depressed, we should surround ourselves with happy people and leave the depressing people in our lives. Realization that people have most likely been leaving me all my life for that very reason, as well as other's going through difficult times, made me think that that is an entirely wrong statement. When our friends are going through difficult times and need a shoulder to lean on, don't distance yourself even if you too are sad, come together and bring each other up, instead of lamenting the loss of yet another friend who truly does want to be happy and make others happy as well, it just doesn't always come out that way. We all go though some form of depression in our lives, and know that none of us are perfect, just searching for understanding. That friend that you distanced yourself from maybe a month or a year ago and not sure why? hit them up. Life is confusing, but its easier to survive it with someone who understands by your side, than alone.
