#24829 I feel the need to rant about the investment of free public college tuition (which is what it is, an investment where you get more back in productivity than you invest as far as the education itself goes). First of all, no country has ever gone broke educating its citizens. That's because of the previously mentioned point that you get more back than you invest making it the smartest investment you can make. Second of all we are far wealthier than any country that educates its citizens for free, and some of those countries educate foreign students for free and they're kicking our ass academically (Germany as the best example) so obviously we can afford it. Lastly, it would be cheaper to just offer free public tuition than our current scholarship system that we are already paying for which is still a miniscule amount compared to what we spend on say the military (most of which goes to private contractors, not our soldiers, so don't even go there and FYI veterans benefits are listed separately from military spending altogether so that has nothing to do with our over inflated military budget). Also, saying free public tuition doesn't mean that all college is free or even that public college is free as tuition is not the only expense of college and private universities can still charge for tuition. Nobody talks about how expensive our decades long war costs, but when we try to educate our citizens all of a sudden we are broke and cant afford it. Then we wonder why we are lagging behind the world in academia

#24826 Texted a guy I met on POF. Looked him up. He is a tier 3 sex offender, a child rapist.
Always check out who you're talking to online before you meet them in person.
I'm glad I did.

#24825 Hell I have no idea why everyone is all up in arms about these heinous refugees if you feel like they should be allowed here then you should welcome them in your home and pay for them out of your own pocket but if you won't then shut up, send them to Saudi Arabia so they can fornicate with animals in air conditioned tents

#24823 I don't like to talk about politics on social media. For me it is a private thing that is best discussed in close quarters. However, due to the amount of incredible radicalism I have seen, I feel compelled to voice something in regards to the Syrian refugee crisis. Since 9/11 we have granted asylum to around 785,000 refugees and, according to a statement made by the State Department to Fox News, “Of the three million refugees we have admitted to the United States since 1975, including nearly 785,000 refugees admitted to the U.S. since the events of 9/11, approximately a dozen -- a tiny fraction of one percent -- have either been arrested or removed from the United States due to security concerns that existed prior to their resettlement in the U.S." One dozen individuals, out of 3 million refugees, over a 40 year period. Let that sink in for a moment before continuing on.
In fact, in an article posted by the Washington Post, the FBI describes domestic terrorism in the US in the post-9/11 era as primarily “Americans attacking Americans based on U.S.-based extremist ideologies.” Naturally, many of these attackers are not labeled as terrorists by the media because they don't fit the 'image', but their actions speak louder than words. Most attacks that happen on American soil that fit the senseless violence bill we so readily associate with terrorism is being committed by our own citizens, not the refugees. You can argue ideologies all day long, but facts are harder to refute.
Finally, the whole aspect of terrorism to inflict fear in hopes of causing distress and unrest. By targeting Syrian refugees as objects of hate and "threats of national security", you are not defending your nation, you are playing into the hysteria and hate-mongering that groups like ISIS want you too. It can divide nations and this division can make them less capable of tackling threats. We also have one of the most rigorous refugee screening processes in the world which, if you take into account the statistics regarding refugees and terrorism that I presented earlier, has a pretty damn good success rate. That is all.
