The energy expended to mine the materials for the hybrid battery, not to mention the extra labor involved, far outweighs the environmental savings compared to a normal non-hybrid vehicle. And it makes me laugh that people will pay such a high premium for an underpowered car, only to have to replace the hybrid battery after a few years.

I'll try to keep this short. My mom died when I was 9. It was a car accident. No ones fault, the weather conditions were bad. I loved my parents both very much. We would do everything together. They were strict but fair. They were also my best friends. We would go to balls games, to the beach...etc. My dad loved her a shit ton. He was never able to move on. But when I turned 15 he finally started dating... When I was 16 he was 38. He met this new girl that was 25. I instantly grew a liking to her. The vibe she gave was amazing. It felt like mom was back.. We were all best friends. We would all hang out she was kind of like a big sister to me. Everything was great up until about 5 months ago when passed away from a heart attack. I was heart broken and I know Steph was too. Financially we were set because my dad had life insurance.
