#24900 Am I the only CS major that thinks that it isn't necessary that we take as much math as we do? I can understand needing to know algebra, and maybe even taking precalc, but after that it is not very useful for what most of us will be doing out of college.

Based on time and chance alone, why should we be confident our rational minds—which are merely the sum of lesser evolved minds plus time and chance—are actually rational at all? What basis do we have to believe our own conclusions? How do we know we’re actually capable of knowing truth more than a primate? If the only players in our existence are lesser creatures, time, and chance, how do we know we’re even highly evolved at all?

#24897 I've made myself heartbroken by simply missing a girl who doesn't know I like her.

#24896 My ex and I broke up like 5 months ago. Six months ago, the last "friend" I had gave me 2 weeks to move out when we had 2 months left on our lease because she and her boyfriend found a place to live. Their name was on the lease so I couldn't stay. Needless to say that she got dropped real fast. I don't have friends who live in Montana. They all tell me that I really need to get friends or a boyfriend. I would go out and get friends but I am very shy and get real bad anxiety. I could really use some friends or even just someone to go to the gym with would be a great start. I feel like my life has no purpose and that it is going absolutely no where.

#24895 I'm terrified of the next time I have the opportunity to kiss someone. I'm 24 and I've only kissed one person in my life. Although we lasted more than a year, I still feel really inexperienced.

#24894 Next time I have to write a timeline on a proposal for how I plan to complete such and such project I'm just gonna be straight up with my instructor and tell them I'm going to do the whole thing two night before.

It's also really fucked up how I manage to get halfway decent grades.
