#22802 My confession is I am in college for myself. I am not here for a loved one, I am not here to continue some familial legacy of higher education, and I sure as fuck am not here because I want children one day. I just want to live as comfortably as I can muster, possibly with someone I love dearly, but not with children.

Here's the thing: I am great with kids. They can be fun and I used to work with them, but frankly I've looked into the expense/time commitment for them and that's not something I am willing to invest in. I was a great caregiver and I received many compliments on my handling of the children. I understand that caregiving isn't always parenting, but the fact is I was with those kids ten hours of the day as a constant teacher, mediator, and overall a constant presence. I have little doubt that I would be a good father, but I do not believe they are a requirement for a couple to be happy and complete.

Some may call that selfish, but frankly if more people thought this way their would be a crap ton less cases of neglected children. Better to understand the value you give to personal time now than force negligence on a child who is dependent upon you later.

I think computers are a good thing in class. Sometimes I even bring one myself, and even though they get a bad rap due to people who abuse them, they are a great asset to the people that don't. However, I do agree that the typing can get a bit loud, especially in small classrooms where you can't really get away from it. Sometimes it sounds like they're slamming their face against the keyboard over and over again. So please, kindly turn it down a bit, you don't need to go at 1000 wpm all the damn time.
