#22896 I wish I had the bravery to post this on my own Facebook, but I don't, at least not yet. This week is National Eating Disorder Awareness Week and I have not heard a single thing about it on the MSU campus. Nothing. College campuses are a hotbed for eating disorders, and yet, very little is made known about them, so here goes: I have an eating disorder. I suffer from Anorexia Athletica subtype Orthorexia. I have struggled with this disorder since the age of 18 and have been in treatment for a year and a half. While I am in a fairly good place with my disorder, there are so many that struggle every day and die from this disorder. If you think eating disorders are only about being "thin", you are severely misinformed. I encourage all of you to think the next time you ask someone how they stay so thin, because it could be for all of the wrong reasons.
