So to the guy in the blue t-shirt, black pants, brown messenger bag, and sunglasses who blew through the 4-way intersection at 11th and grant around 4pm on Thursday: Fuck you. Stop at the fucking stop signs. It's not that hard to follow some easy traffic rules. If you're riding in the road, you're a vehicle. There were 2 other bikers that followed that rule around that time, so I'm sorry you couldn't figure it out

#24277 As an alum hearing about the events of the ASMSU President getting a DUI, there are greater issues we also need to address.

1. The fact that they are not stepping down is concerning to me. Moreover, continued financial support to her is counter to what should be happening. Since by her admission she was involved, she needs to accept the consequences of her actions and have the resolve to move over. Financial support should not be going to someone who is now going to have to pay her dues to society.

2. The only reason she is not being forced out of office is because there seems to be a "no harm, no foul" mentality about the events that transpired. Had she damaged property, or even hit someone, there would be no debate. She would be removed from office. Given she was parked on a sidewalk, this is very much a reality of that scenario.

3. I do not expect those in positions of power and authority to walk a straight and narrow path. They are allowed to have fun like anyone else. But like everyone else, I expect them to pay the price for their decisions in full. No one is asking for them to be barred from getting their degree. But I would not want financial support going to someone who will be before the court for actions. It sends the wrong message to youth that you can screw up and still be paid to get through it. That is a mentality and attitude that should have ended with the bankers and CEOs who got paid to screw all of us. It is completely unacceptable.

So if she will not step aside willingly, I ask that you, my fellow Bobcats, demand her ouster and removal of financial support using the democratic authority given to you. YOU must send the message that it is unacceptable if they will not step aside and admit it on their own.
