Nearly all the organizers of SWN were white at cafe mac lmao. White guilt has officially ascended to a new plane of existence, abstract and meta beyond your wildest dreams.

It saddens to see the schism is getting greater at Macalester. The dilemma here is that if you don't set up an enemy, an other, you dont know against whom you are fighting for the better, but whenever you set up an other, it is always the wrong target because no such "demon" exists for you to target, because no one is 100% the oppressor in every aspect to be fought against.

Addressing the whole issue of the white noise thing, I just want to say that I think it's cool that people are trying to do something about an issue that's important to them, and if they want to be silent for five minutes as a way of bringing attention to the issue of racial injustice, that's fine.

But I don't want to stay silent for five minutes, and I didn't during the time people were doing that in Cafe' Mac. I do care about racial injustice. I do intend to vote, protest, and be an activist as I see fit. But I don't want to be forced to be silent in a cafeteria for five minutes, nor do I think it is right for me to be ostracized for choosing not to participate in this particular protest.

To the people who did participate in white noise; Good for you, but at the same time, whatever. I don't care.

Just understand that when people choose not to participate in your particular protest, they're not necessarily against what you're advocating for, and they sure as hell are not as evil as some of you describe them to be.

A modest proposal: To bring the community together, encourage MCSG to sponsor group orgies.

I hope that when I graduate, I have as much free time as Alejandro Cervantes. I'm looking forward to the day that I can comment on every single fucking Mac Confessions post like my life depended on it.
