#1155 So wait, other student groups are still allowed to lobby on legislation, right? I was confused by that Pioneer Press article that made it seem like voting no on MPIRG, which I did, meant that no political work would happen with fees anymore. Does that mean QU can't lobby for Anti-bullying and anti-harassment bills?

#1154 Being nearly at the halfway point of my Junior year, I feel really bad that I haven't made any close friends at Mac. Every time I try and join a friend group, I never quite integrate and now I'm just floating aimlessly through the social environment.

#1153 My State Senator from my home district, who is batshit crazy, just posted about how glad she was that MacPIRG is gone. She didn't go here and represents the suburbs. I don't get it, why does she care?

#1152 I went to Twitter to see how fellow "Vote No on MPIRG" folks were talking about the results. All I saw was Minnesota Republican Party staff celebrating. I feel duped...

#1151 There should be a rule banning all talk of GPAs in the library. As if we all aren't stressed enough.

#1150 "Now that it's all over but the counting, I can say that the referendum on the Macalester MPIRG contract should have been all about those election rules. You can't treat a concept like a candidate, bombarding the pro- side with heavy restrictions while exempting the anti- side.
As soon as the referendum rules were discovered, they should have probably been the entire focus. I've payed attention to a lot of different student government shenanigans and debauchery, and I've seen everything from slander to embezzlement, but I have not seen anything as disgusting as the Macalester College Student Government: MCSG's referendum rules.
I repeat, I have never seen anything as disgusting as the Macalester College Student Government's election rules.
It is in this manner only that they manage to live up to what we call government.
Those responsible should be ashamed to call themselves student leaders."
