#1831 As a non-UWC, working class international student, I do feel like somewhat of an outcast here. Mac makes such a big deal about its recruitment of international students, but sometimes it just seems like a United World College Part 2 and/or a gathering place for highly privileged international students from private schools. Maybe that's just how the international population is at "elite" colleges like Mac claims to be. I don't know. I guess getting UWC internationals is better than having no internationals at all, but let's be real. Macalester would nothing without so many UWC drawn in by the Davis scholarship program.
