If you expect me to finish the shit load of homework you gave me, I expect you to keep up with me. If you expect me to come to class on time, I expect you to be ready when class starts. Don't come to class full of excuses. This is college, and unfortunately, if you can't handle it, please don't waste my time and money. Thank you.

Hi Augsburg,
I'm a senior here at Augsburg College. After receiving yet another email crime report regarding yet another robbery at gunpoint of a student on campus, I'm concerned and frustrated with your lack of action and communication. What preventative measures are you taking to stop the violent crime being committed on students? Can we use some of that money you just raised to pay for a couple rent-a-cops at least? A gate around campus to control access points at nighttime and give our understaffed and under qualified DPS officers a chance? It's utterly inexcusable that assaults and robberies at gunpoint continue to happen on campus and we, the students' being assaulted, simply receive an email describing the event each time. What are you doing to stop it? It is your responsibility to ensure the campus of Augsburg is a safe place and you have not shown any indication that you take this responsibility seriously. Telling students to "be aware of their surroundings at all times" is not helpful. It is not constructive and it will not solve this issue. Students shouldn't need to utilize a "walking escort" to walk through campus and it's unrealistic to place the expectation to do so upon students. Surely you can do a better job and communicate to the students some more effective measures you are putting in place.
