#5674 Can't believe we elected you President and you puke all over our sorority. I miss SB
#5673 @5663: the music department is competitive. It's like that because the music business is competitive. You have to be good at music as well as good at making professional connections. What you call kissing ass is actually called networking. Your bitterness is misdirected. The professors in the department are all incredible and eager to help if you take the time to get to know them. You're welcome to your opinion but your negative attitude won't get you very far in this world.
#5672 @5668: you didn't get the point of my post, and judging from the touchiness of it, I struck a nerve. I'm not belittling other people's success, or their hard work. My very complaint was that the music department is very selective about who they value, even though other people (not just me) have done just as much work if not more. I've talked to a few professors in the department , but some of them are in the margins as well, which is a testament to the dynamics of the place. Besides it's common knowledge on this campus that the music department is incredibly elitist. And if you'd bothered to read correctly, I devalue the department, not the degree. Also, no freaking kidding, we're not in elementary or middle school? News to me. The minute you judge the person and not the argument you lose credibility. Take the time to read people's posts thoroughly before replying, we might actually have an adult conversation next time.
#5671 So Tinder is now listed under "essentials" on the AppStore. Wtf is wrong with the world these days, and why does it feel so right?
#5670 Who the fuck pays 40,000 to study music/theatre? (All those with scholarships are not included, yall are smart for getting someone else to pay for it)
#5669 Jack A. is so cute
#5668 @5663 The only thing you did with this post was devalue your own degree. You stayed in a department that you apparently hate, because you wanted the degree so why complain now?? if you had all these concerns you could have went and spoke with someone, if not in the music department, like Dr. Sinclair, you could have went to someone in student affairs. But please, don't belittle other people and their hard work and success, all because in the four years that you've been in college you haven't realized that are aren't in Elementary or Middle school anymore, where everyone that participates in an activity gets an award.
#5667 @5662 I mean more power to them. I wish my older sister had gotten my fat ass into KD.
