"After my first semester at MIT, I got an important letter from Dean Ortiz. I was told that my further registration at the institute may be denied if I get any grades lower than a B minus. I had two options. First, take an easy track of courses and excel them. Second, just continue taking what I am interested in and forget about this letter. I did the latter, and today I saw all my grades are flat A's. I am so damn proud of myself!! "

"I have no fucking clue about organic chemistry, and the final is tomorrow. I would go to office hours, but I'm just too embarrassed at this point. It's gotten so bad that it's making me reconsider being premed because I'm afraid all the other classes will be just like this one: in a big intimidating lecture hall, full of little shitheads that are premed for the money/because their parents are making them, and have more information than you can actually learn and remember in a semester. Ironically, my only consolation is that I got an A in a subject I thought I hated. "
