#5131 I think Melissa L is the most inspiring, genuine, and kind person I have met during my time here at Rollins. You don't find many people like her, and she will certainly be missed when she graduates.

#5130 To use your torn letter analogy. What if the message being sent those who are affected by issues of racism, homophobia etc. from allies on campus is a torn letter. I feel like a lot of the allies want those who are directly affected by these things to tell them how to be allies rather allies looking to resources and educating themselves on how to do the work. These people are hurting and trying to figure out a way to voice that hurt but Rollins hasn't made that an option. Even in civil conversations I've seen people who talk about these issues being attacked. Then, after being attacked, they go on the defensive. The attacker then plays victim. There are some hard dynamics to work through here at Rollins. Everyone has work to do. Activist, allies, faculty, staff, administration.

#5129 I farted in front of my lover and they said "it sounded like it was screaming for attention."

#5128 I am sorry that you have experienced homelessness and the loss of your parents but please never forget that you are profoundly privileged simply by living in this country. While there is suffering and strife in America, it's a walk in the park compared to what many young people experience everyday in other countries. Also, at some point you need to stop letting the experiences of your youth define who you are.

#5127 Honestly, all of you are annoying.. And I'm annoying myself by writing this. Sometimes people don't care- sorry, but it's true. They don't care about whatever issue it is that is so obviously important to others. It happens to me all the time. You're not going to change any minds. That's the reality. It's sad because you want everyone to understand the severity of issues like racism, sexism, poverty and everyone should care about it. But they don't. There's a huge difference between educating people on issues and cramming it down their throats. Leave people alone. Don't pick on them for caring when you don't, don't pick on them for not caring when you do.

#5126 Steering away from the activism debates for a second, can we all enjoy this picture of a pig dressed up as a bee?

#5125 I'm ashamed of being part of this school. All of you self rightous close minded activists, and non activists alike. All I have seem is people using their education to find reasons to support their own ideas of what is right. For fucks sake, stop thinking you know the answers and have perfect understanding. Pay attention, learn, and stop judging each other. Life is not as black and white as you people want.

#5124 I'm sad for you. Why do you allow people to bully students on this page? You might think it's your "job" to keep this site going, but you are far from innocent. I hope one day you realize how much pain and hurt you've caused by continuing to post anonymous garbage.
