Why the fuck does anyone think it's okay to walk into an honors defense/capstone 15 minutes after the presentation has started
"global citizenship" is imperialism
My hair is curly. It is not an afro. I have the same hair texture as these white bitches, but do I hear you calling their hair an afro? No. You and I both know you only think it's an afro because I'm black.
ALSO, I really appreciate the sentiment of not touching my hair because it shows at least a shallow understanding of exoticism of black women and our style but if you accidentally touch it, you don't have to profess your eternal apologies. This is extra true if you touch my hair while making out or having sex. You recoiling your hand away from the general vicinity of my face feels so rude and kills the vibe.

I think that part of the Macalester application process should include visiting Mac Confessions, engaging in a flame war, and holding your own through at least 5 salty replies.
Which mac confessions regular seems like they're having the most fun?
I really want to get the job as the person who sits in the Loch, just so I can play the national anthem of the Soviet Union on repeat
Whiteboy here, vis-a-vis that day where white people don't talk:
that actually sounds like a great idea, but also that it would be important to prevent it from becoming a situation where all white folks stare at the POC in their classes or there becomes some sort of obligation on the POC in classes. As an annoying whiteboy I'm totally into folks organizing some legit radical shit while I'm still at this school...I've had a few classes (like individual sessions, not the classes whose subject matter is race) lately that I've felt like the professors really weren't ready to deal with directing the conversation, and to be honest I could have done a better job shutting up but ALSO I think professors need to be given tools (and the expectation that they use them) to balance out the conversation so everybody feels empowered to say the true stuff
