I made the post about the MN guy who BLM supported. I was told I wouldn't change my mind on the subject, but that's not true. I've tried to have my mind changed by looking at all sides, and I have googled the issue. I'm not satisfied with what I've seen. Everything has been about the overarching issue of police brutality against minority, which I know is an issue. But I don't see this guy as falling under that category. This is where my confusion is.
I also grant I came across as an aggressive asshole.
I am a white girl who has vaguely "exotic" features and a vaguely exotic name, and I get hit on a lot in a racial fetish kind of way (ex. "Are you from like, Syria/India/etc. "). My problem is I find it pretty gross, since fetishizing anyone for their race is pretty disgusting, but I'm not sure where my place in speaking out against it is, since the races people project on me aren't real, and I'm really very Caucasian. Does anyone have any thoughts on what kind of role I could play without taking away/speaking over
