fuck gender, fuck race, fuck sexuality, fuck socioeconomics, fuck privilege, I will do the best to help my family, friends, and myself. I will work to protect the environment so that my children can breath the air in 50 years. I will work to protect women so my daughters can feel safe at night. I will fight against racism so my friends of color feel as equal in this world as I know them to be. However, I don't have to protect anyone I'm not even connected to, so I will never, ever, give a shit if I offend you with my words. If I don't know you, I don't care. The world's too complex to care about those who don't affect you.

I was thinking the other night about our generation. And how much we care and how people are always saying that we have the power to change a lot of things. And I think that's true...there's a lot of people I know that have the drive and passion to start doing something because what our society has turned into sucks. Lets be real. But anyway, it seems as though the "mission" of us is to tear down all the societal structures that have been built over the past however many years, which I think should happen. But then it's like what are we leaving for the generation after us? They're gonna have to put it all back together and they'll probably hate us for it....

With all this #YesAllWomen and #NotAllMen business I thought it necessary to bring another perspective to the issue. I would also like to say that I am a man. I fully agree with the #YesAllWomen "movement" and what it represents. Misogyny and sexism is embedded into our culture and it hurts to see the effect it has on so many women. But I would take this all a step further and ask why are our men acting this way? This misogyny is not some inherit trait men have, but it is rather taught to young men and boys through various forms of exposure. I cannot accurately explain this plight on our young men, but there is a project that does. This project is called "The Mask You Live In" and it has a powerful message about social injustices and gender equality. This is a huge issue in our society and it's important to know all the peices at work. Hopefully some of you find this interesting or educational. This is not to take away from the feminist movement in any way either. Here is a link to their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/TheMaskYouLiveIn

It's times like these that I wish I had gone to trade school. Now I have a useless degree, and all these entry level jobs that require 3+ years of "relevant" experience are going to be the death of me.

That frustrating moment when you need experience to get experience. In what topsy-turvy world does that make any sense?
