#5291 I don't believe in God, but I have a lot of friends that do. I also have a lot of friends who don't. The thing is, my lack of faith has never been an issue among my Christian friends, but my Christian friends are a constant subject of criticism from my atheist friends. Everyone says that religious people constantly shove their beliefs down your throat, but for some reason it always feels like the opposite to me.

#5289 @5287 thank you, I'm not the only one who thinks she was a horrible president. The only thing that bugs me is that the new president is her little, and one of the officers is her glittle. Am I the only one who finds this strange? Nothing against Gabbi, she is an awesome person so I think she'll be a great president but this to me hints of nepotism. As to moving forward with the chapter, I totally agree but there's some kinds of damages that can't be undone. I mean it can get better depending on the new president actions and decisions but it can't be undone. For example what about the sisters she left behind during her presidency? All of the potential that could have been used to help the chapter, now converted to hurt feelings and waste of talent. I personally think she did want to make the chapter better, but she has some serious control/power issues and she was desperate to prove she was the one in power no matter whose feelings she was hurting.
#5288 I apologize on behalf of all the Spectrum members that have caused anyone in the LGBTQ+ community discomfort on this campus. I realize that we have a lot of work to do to become a more inclusive organization that is open to all points of view.
On top of that, I very deeply apologize to the closeted LGBTQ+ students who have been outed or gossiped about by members of our organization. I know there have been several of you. The fact that this has happened ever, much less repeatedly, is completely unjustifiable especially from those of us who are supposed to provide a safe space.
I know that my apology as a single member doesn't mean much. But I do hear you. I'm not ignoring your struggles. I really hope someday we can turn this organization into the safe and supportive environment we are supposed to be.
#5287 Sisters, yes JR was a bad president but now we have a new one so let's just leave this part of our chapter behind and move forward. AOII needs us to have a better outlook. We can't change the past, no matter how damaging
