#5355 I find it interesting that [redacted] publicly talks shit about members of his own fraternity... it's pretty disrespectful.
#5354 Professor, when I said I was into torture, I didn't mean a three-hour lecture on social theory.
#5353 I had issues with Spectrum and it happened last year and the year before. A friend of mine avoided them all four years and just graduated. These issues are recent. They are continuous. If you're so concerned about the LGBT reputation then we should stop denying blatantly obvious issues that everyone else is still recognizing and start working to make amends on the damage done.
#5352 Whoever said the issues with Spectrum don't apply anymore, how could you possibly know that by going to one meeting? It's not like the gossip and hurtful behavior happened out in the open at meetings. It happened behind people's backs and in deceitful ways. Perhaps you should talk to one of the many who have been hurt and get their perspectives before you rush to a judgment.
#5351 Even though I didn't write any of these confessions, I had fun today watching a few of my AOII sisters looking at me as if I had. That was pathetic and it I almost got up and said I wrote all of it, because I might as well have since I'll get the blame regardless. At least I had fun and enjoyed my day, didn't seen to me like they were enjoying theirs. I have to confess that reading these things and watching how the girls react has been my guilty pleasure. Thank you to whoever wrote it.
#5350 I've been friends with you since freshman year, but only because I had no one else to befriend. Now it feels like it's too late to join someone else.
#5349 Jesus, these recent confessions fucking suck. Stop airing out your dirty laundry anonymously. Nobody gives a flying fuck about your sorority/LGBT/whatever drama and it makes you look like a whiny child.
Let's get back to the good stuff, like the fact the women's tennis team has an open invitation to sit on my face anytime.
#5348 @ #5337. Totally agree. I've heard bad stuff happened with Spectrum 4 or 5 years ago, but the past few years of Spectrum have been super inclusive, and they've put on a lot of good events. Of course, I'm sure there is someone you know who is gay who has gossiped, but there will always be gay people who do that, just as there will always be straight people who do that. Stop blaming an entire organization for the actions of one individual and making it seem like everyone LGBT is like that individual. Criticize the individual, not an organization which you probably know little about. Additionally, the views of a single gay person on activism represent his or her views alone - no one speaks for the whole community.
