#3225 I never think about race much. I suppose that's a privilege that comes with being white. But what I do know is that attacking individual people for a problem that is deeply engrained into society isn't going to help the cause. Putting people down for being white isn't going to change the prejudices society has against you, but it sure is going to make them care a lot less about the issue.

#3224 Honestly, when it comes to this whole racism argument, neither side is 100% right. There is no easy answer, but I can tell you that arguing anonymously over the internet will do nothing but breed more tensions and cause more problems. If you want to solve hatred, maybe you should all start with yourselves.

#3223 Am I the only one stressed out about not having a lot of work to do? Everyone is freaking out this week and I'm just relaxing which makes me feel like I'm slacking off.

#3222 @3181 I am the original confessor, and I'm sorry if I angered any of you. I am honestly just so tired of these debates about racism. I, just like you, wish it never has to come up ever again. Unfortunately it always will because of the media blowing specific instances out of proportion and making a worldwide quarrel at their own profit. I know that it is dear to many people's hearts, but I please ask of you to please keep strong inside and outside. Keep your words strong and ignore the haters. Realize that so many of us are all hoping for the same outcome down the road, and many of us that you assume "do not understand" actually DO to a certain extent. We may not have been directly effected by it, but growing up in the generation that we have, it is engrained in our brains and hearts. I grew up as a little kid with friends of every type of race and ethnicity, and not once did it cross my mind that they were any different than myself. I have always stood up for them, and felt pain that perhaps they might have felt when discriminated against. I would wish that I could do something about it, but what is there to do? Call them out? What would that achieve? I have gone on living my life, simply hoping that each person of every race can be treated equally. Soon enough, everybody will. Hearing somebody make a generalization that because I'm white, I simply do not understand conflicts me. I am not the same person as my parents and grandparents were. You are not the same person as your parents and grandparents were. We are our own generation, and we are the ones that control our future. There will always be the radicals. The haters. The crazies. The media will always glorify these people. The media will always make a profit off these people, and they will ALWAYS try to invoke emotion and anger in their viewers. America lives on profit. Our "forefathers" have built the current America. In case you have not noticed, our generation has been the least accepting generation of the current American structure on all fronts. Our generation is different. In the past, a generation was seen to be divided by race, ethnicity, and background. Our generation may seem the same to our forefathers, but to me, we are all the same just wanting to live life to the max. You're right, people make the structure. Those people in the structure are not us, but soon, they will be. Our generation is just getting started. We are revolutionizing something new every single day: ranging from entertainment to government policy, etc. Just wait to see what will be accomplished when we are as old as our parents. We might not be able to see our product, but future generations sure will. So what was my point here? Lets stop arguing. Lets stop pointing fingers, calling each other names, and making generalizations. Especially to those within our own generation. Instead, lets have fun. Lets get our education under the currently failed education system that we will one day fix. Lets all just get along. Lets all just say FUCK IT ALL! ITS MY LIFE, AND GODDAMIT I ONLY LIVE ONCE. You and I? We could die tomorrow. If one thing our generation has made clear, it's that cheesy phrase: YOLO. That's what makes us different. We're generation Y. No matter what race, ethnicity, religion, sex, sexual preference, or whatever... I love you all.
