Rape Prevention tips:
1. Don’t put drugs in women’s drinks.
2. When you see a woman walking by herself, leave her alone.
3. If you pull over to help a woman whose car has broken down, remember not to rape her.
4. If you are in an elevator and a women gets in, don’t rape her.
5. When you encounter a woman who is asleep, the safest course of action is to not rape her.
6. Never creep into a woman’s home through an unlocked door or window, or spring out at her from between parked cars, or rape her.
7. Remember, people go to the laundry room to do their laundry. Do not attempt to molest someone who is alone in a laundry room.
8. Use the Buddy System! If it is inconvenient for you to stop yourself from raping women, ask a trusted friend to accompany you at all times.
9. Carry a rape whistle. If you find that you are about to rape someone, blow the whistle until someone comes to stop you.
10. Dont forget: Honesty is the best policy. When asking a woman out on a date, don’t pretend that you are interested in her as a person; tell her straight up that you expect to be raping her later. If you don’t communicate your intentions, the woman may take it as a sign that you do not plan to rape her.
If the coaches and staff in the athletics department helped actually discipline the athletes who sexually assaulted students I wouldn't be so pissed, but because they defend them and do everything in their power to keep them from any form of athletic punishment like suspension from sport, use of sport facilities, or game suspensions so the team doesn't suffer, I'm more than a little angry at the departments actions. I don't bash the 99% of good athletes hamline has, I'm bashing the department for protecting the 1% of bad apples. There is no excuse for that.

You can't blame the entire athletic department for the actions of a few rapists, whom happened to be athletes. Those students definitely should have been held accountable and it's ridiculous they weren't. Be mad at the perpetrators, the university, and those interfering with action being taken. But don't bash the hardworking athletes who have poured sweat, blood, tears, and their money into their passion.
It's not so much the money we may or may not pour into athletics, but since I know three different people who say they were assaulted by athletes and those athletes were not disciplined, THAT is why I bash the athletics department. If a girl is drunk, she cannot consent, and you SHOULD NOT take her home and have sex with her. That is called RAPE you fuckers.
I for one am tired of seeing athletes and the athletics department constantly bashed. As a D3 institution, athletes do not get scholarship money to play. They do it because they love the sport. They do not go on "free trips", they either fund raise, pay out of pocket, or use donation dollars donated to the sport. These student-athletes work incredibly hard and I'm tired of seeing posts from uninformed individuals. Know the facts before you form an opinion please.
Have a huge crush on Scott Mills. Can't help but stare...
I feel like people think landscaping is a lot more expensive than it is. Its cheaper than mowing and most of the plants come back every year. It's also more ecologically friendly. If they stopped campus would be a dead patch and the financial aid increase would be minuscule if anything.
