I would totally be a dictator if given the chance to run a country. #noregrets

6 months for that stafford fuck who raped an unconscious girl, just great. Honestly I wouldn't mind that length of time if the guy actually understood what he did wrong and apologized for it, but no he doesn't get it. Neither does his dad, since he called it "20 minutes of action" jesus talk about the apple not going far from the tree. This is just one of many reasons why a someone doesn't want to report they were raped. If this is all a male rapist gets from raping this girl, no wonder my guy friends won't report if they've been raped.

I don't think those who want the removal or erosion of either of our first two amendments truly understand what they represent. Both represent the power of the people to stand against the powerful, to always be able to share their ideas no matter how ridiculed they are, and to not live in fear that the state may one day use force to oppress them and take away their rights as citizens. Wanting stuff like "hate speech" to be banned, or wanting guns in general to be banned (safety checks are understandable), is silliness. Freedom of speech was never, since its very inception, meant to be about "speech people agree about", it was always "speech that people would want censored". You don't need freedom of speech to say something people already agree with you about.

Isn't it ironic that the people who complain about "the media" as if it was a giant single entity and how corrupt it is are usually the same people who turn to fringe "news" organizations for their information, probably the same people who still in 2016 forward lies and rumors over email?

I have had daily anxiety attacks over the looming prospect of Donald Trump being elected president, especially seeing some of my Bernie-supporting friends unwilling to compromise and support a Clinton ticket, rather throwing their vote to a third-party candidate they know little about or or Trump himself. If you want to throw your vote away, fine, but it makes me anxious that someone like Trump can hold such a historic and important position with no qualifictations, other than being a 35+ year old American citizen. People excuse his flat-out racist behavior, blaming it on a PC-sensitive culture, when really, a spade is a spade. He's also xenophobic, transphobic, sexist, and prejudice against so many groups. He is a fraud and isn't as great of a business man as people make him out to be. Just because he speaks his mind doesn't make him more candid or honest -- he lies 3x as much as Clinton does. Not to mention his ex-wife (whom he's still on good terms with) swore under oath during their divorce proceedings that he brutally raped her and sexually abused her during their marriage. I just am so uneasy with someone who perpetuates such a hateful rhetoric in a powerful position and I fear for my safety.

I've got one serious question here - why, exactly, is it so scary to see a culture change? People talk of preserving their heritage, but do we dress like our ancestors did? Do we use the same technology they did? Do we even talk exactly like they did? No. So what's so scary about adopting different languages, or other ways of life so long as we don't hurt others?
