It's wild that people can be so invested in their #views that not even for one second can they admit that a black person was a victim.
To all people who say that they are colorblind or that racism doesn't exist in this country FYI you're dumb. You're part of the reason racism exists in this country, because you convenietly choose to ignore just because it makes you uncomfortable. Suck it up and accept that race matters, racism exists, and that this country has a huge problem in addressing and fixing racial issues in our society
It's funny how people are questioning why the folks of HU Confessions are taking a stance on Ferguson when plenty of the same people doing so were trying to get the President out of here for issuing a statement saying she/The University wasnt taking a stance on the #VoteNo campaign back in 2012. Yes "all lives matter" but all live aren't being targeted by the police. #blacklives are. The fact that people fail to realize this and go around and make a situation about them that isn't about them shows just how clueless people in US society are when it comes to race relations in this country.
PS- y'all need to stop deleting and blocking people on facebook too, because change happens with discourse, not with conversing withpeople who already share the same views as yourself

I'm amazed that people believe they know more about the Michael Brown incident than the grand jury that had to look over EVERY SINGLE DETAIL. And I hate when people blame the result on race bias. The grand jury represents the racial demographic of St. Louis as a whole. Besides that what do you think happened? The white people in the jury saw a black guy killed by a white guy and thought "well obviously we have to keep the white guy free, because he's white just like us"?
