Growing up in this world is hard. I feel as though we're supposed to look "perfect" and have a "perfect body" because that's what's plastered all over in the media. Try this diet, get flat abs, get thin! That's all I've heard when growing up. And now because it's been instilled in my mind, I believe that I need to be "perfect" otherwise I'm nothing in this world. I just wish I could feel comfortable in my skin and be confident in myself, but I always have this little voice in my head telling me that I'm useless and need to look like the supermodels in the magazines.

I don't mind being single. What bothers me is not knowing why. That's what sabotages my self esteem. It's not like i haven't gotten close, i just have never sealed the deal. There's always someone else they go for. I'm ALWAYS Plan B. It never fails. Am I just extremely unlucky, or is there something I'm not doing?

So people want to make tobacco smoking illegal but want to legalize marijuana smoking? Both are plants, both alter your mind (tobacco to a much lesser degree), both are addictive (yes, weed is addictive, no matter how loudly you say it isn't), both have harmful properties when smoked and within the smoke, both require the user to be an adult who can make their own decisions. On that last point alone it seems ridiculous to make illegal one substance and legalize another.
I'm not against teaching Creationism in science classes alongside Evolution theory. But, recognizing the Creationism is a religious idea, other religion creation stories should be included. Like Buddhism, Hinduism, Taoism, Greek, Roman, some Hispanic, some Native American, some African (those stories are great if you haven't read them), and some nontraditional ones like Scientology and the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Now that I've listed this it seems a bit ridiculous...maybe religious creation stories should be taught at temple?
