I act like things scare me when they don't, or that I'm a klutz when I'm really not. I think I do it to make people laugh, but some days I wish I didn't act like that, makes me feel like I'm lying.

I was reading a story about people wanting to make a black spider man and a black James Bond and initially I was supportive of this idea because I thought it would make things more diverse. But then I thought about it. James Bond was originally a novel written over 60 years ago and he was made white, and that's how he's been represented in movies forever. Spider man was originally written white (apparently there's been a black spider man so this is a bit of a moot point), so spider man has been portrayed as white in movies about him. It doesn't make sense to give these roles to minorities. It's essentially saying 'Hey, here's something we designed for white people but if we let it be a different color we're making things more diverse.' Why do people want to see minorities taking the sloppy second ideas of white characters? I think there should be new action heros and comic book characters who represent minorities, not just making white characters black and calling it good. The problem is there's not much in the way of original content for minorities in these genres, and that's what needs to change.

I don't care if the organizers of the Mall of America protests are found guilty. They chose to occupy private property and use it for their own means against the wish of the owner. Even if they had a good cause, it doesn't give them the right to violate the rights of others.
