You are waiting for an arbitrary date to start to take steps to change your life. You are either afraid or lazy if you arent starting right away. Starting doesnt even have to be starting your diet or starting to workout or whatever, starting just means you have started the process, that you have at least begun planning. If you wait to start you are going to fail so just start now, what do you have to wait for? To catch that wave of attention on social media? If thats the case, you're going to fail anyways, you arent doing it to improve yourself, you're doing it for attention. Just start and only focus on achieving your goal, not the attention youre hoping to get.

#31628 A coworker today opened up about voting for trump because they were left/progressive/socialist but knew that his being in office would fuck shit up so much that the collective schadenfreude in reaction to his actions would spark a shift of most younger people towards progressive socialist (instead of right, center, or center left) values. 


When asked why bank on a reality tv show host and corporate mogul with no political experience with documented history of being fucked up, their reasoning was that trump is a trojan horse move from the clintons, who have privately been coaching and informing him of everything they know about american and global politics.  Trump's goal is essentially to perform as the id of the GOP and implode them via constant scandalous behavior and saying shitty things to force the country and world to have difficult conversations that will make things better long term. He will say bigoted things, threaten to build a wall, and threaten to enact many of the other things he campaigned on, but it is all just to take attention off the cleaning of house that he's doing and will in fact govern more progressively. 


Ngl, of all the conspiracy theories I've heard, it's one of the more plausible-sounding ones, but they couldn't explain why he specifically would be chosen to be that golden child instead of a politician running as a moderate conservative but lowkey governing more left, or how to prevent a negative international reputation, how the country could be governed properly with so much chaos, or why that much chaos would be necessary at all.
