I've pretty much been in love with my best friend throughout high school, almost since the day we met back in 10th grade. I tried making a move on her once before we were good friends, and she turned me down and things were awkward. Then we became really close, so close that she started being flirty with me. But it was because of how close we were that I couldn't tell if she was only messing around or serious. All of my friends said they could see us dating and that they thought she wanted me to ask her out but I never did, I thought they were all crazy. Then things died down and she started seeing another guy and they've been technically dating for around a year now, and I hate myself for not knowing what might've happened if I just asked her out.
