#5187 Thanks for the advice 5184, but I personally don't feel it's right to simply absolve myself of any and all guilt. Everything we do affects other people and if we all sit back and say "it wasn't your fault" every time someone tries to commit suicide then none of us will realize our faults and a lot of suicides will happen that could have been prevented simply by being less self-righteous. It was partially my fault and I can be angry at him but I will still accept that responsibility and be more careful with other people's hearts in the future.
#5186 @5184 i dont know, when i was suicidal it was solely because of being caught up on a manipulative and emotionally abusive relationship, after which I felt so lost that I couldn't cope. Once that person was fully out of my life it was shocking how quickly I recovered my emotional stability, but the initial breakup left me in a dark place and it was completely that person at fault.

And you are worthy of someone who makes you feel safe and secure, not constantly worried and on edge. I understand the emotional pain and know that it's hard to get passed, but it is possible.
