#3672 I find it so entertaining to watch the same 3 or 4 people consistently get butthurt over confessions. do you really not have anything better to do with your time than post an argument to every post you disagree with? do you think youre accomplishing anything? I mean, you are - youre making yourself look bad, but other than that what is the point?
#3671 Ok can someone please clean the glitter off the campus please? That shit is annoying and i kedp having to clean it from my appartment every time i walk out
#3670 I'm a Christian. A straight, white, female Christian. With that said, please stop with the "Christians at Rollins are the victims" bullshit. This claim is ludacris. Last time I checked, the majority of people on campus celebrate Christmas. Perhaps they're not as devout as others, but that doesn't mean they're not Christians. Regardless, it's so ridiculous that people are trying to link "being a Christian" to being a minority of any sort. It's completely unfair to try and make the modern Christian's "struggle" sound like that of the African American, LGBT, etc. community. Last time I checked, the majority of America's population is Christian. Last time I checked, the campus was adorned with Christmas decorations in December. Hell, there's even Christian prayer at graduation. Stop complaining about feeling so "oppressed." Christians don't receive nearly as much scrutiny as the minority groups you're trying to subtly correlate your religion to via these sorry posts. No one cares if you're Christian. "Oh, he can't come to our party...he's a Christian!" When the hell have you ever heard someone say that? Probably never. People don't give a shit that you're Christian. Most people don't have a problem with the practice. They have a problem with the practitioner's choice in how they practice. If you're someone who prays to God, reads the Bible, and is a good-living person who loves and accepts everyone: that's not problematic. What is problematic is when certain people use Jesus and the Bible to defend bigotry. Yes, I said bigotry. Look it up. If you're going to harp on a phrase in Leviticus and judge people who identify with the subject matter, then I think it's only fair for you to do the same with the rest of those phrases. Go protest people who work on Sundays. Go scrutinize people who eat pork and shellfish. Because it says that in the Bible as well. There's not Christian oppression here at Rollins. What actually exists is a community who doesn't take well to people who judge others for something they cannot change. I'm disgusted that people who practice my religion are still so small minded. The Bible speaks out against a lot of things that we (in today's world) accept without hesitation. Eating pork for instance. Rather than the "he's Christian, don't invite him" situation occurring, it's more likely that it will more closely resemble: "Don't invite him, he's judgmental and cruel and makes my friends, and myself, uncomfortable." Honestly, how can you even say that Christians have this day to day struggle? Today's Christians don't have to "come out" Christian and fear disappointing their families. Today's Christians don't get fired for being Christian. They're not segregated. They're not subject to profiling. Honestly, I feel like the "woe is me. I'm the oppressed Christian" slingers are the same types of people who say: "Hey, if there's a BET...Why don't we have a WHITE ENTERTAINMENT TELEVISION?" You cannot throw yourself into the minority pool when you're the farthest thing from a minority. Also, shout out to the real Christians who are loving, respectful people who follow the theme of the Bible rather than its word for word translation. Look at Mytien: THAT'S how to be a Christian. I suggest you all follow her example of living a modern Christian lifestyle. Remember, Christians aren't minorities here at Rollins. ASSHOLES are.
#3669 Until this term I had no idea how many people smoked pot in the music department. If I'd known before I would have started three years ago. How the hell else can we sit through everything we have to and still appear "engaged" if not with a little help? lol Light me up!
#3668 Let's be honest, unless you're at Rollins for a science or business degree, or are already wealthy and are just here for fun, you're degree is not worth $50000 a year. It's not worth it for theater or any other stupid liberal arts major.
#3667 Sororities should only let the hot girls do lip sync not make all the new members do it. Watching a fat girl who can't dance try to be sexy is painful. This confession is from a girl btw.
#3666 No one wants to see your awkward teen pictures! Stop posting them for attention!
#3662 Maybe instead of trying to make our campus smoke free we should make it squirrel free. Anyone agreeee?
